SASKATOON – After he did more than $16,000 worth of unnecessary dental work on a Saskatoon man – including seven root canals in one day – a city dentist has been suspended for two months and must pay at least $102,000 for legal costs and educational upgrades.
In June, the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan found Dr. Lawrence Ho guilty of professional misconduct and professional incompetence for performing the root canals, and pulling two teeth without enough evidence to show the extractions were necessary…
When I still lived with my parents in Saskatoon, our dentist retired. Can you guess the name of the young dentist who took over his practice?
Crazy! Was he really the one?
I promise never to do that to anyone! At least I will try my best to find a person of integrity to take over my practice!
Yes Linea, unfortunately so. It might help explain some of the mess you see when I’m in your chair.
That is interesting. Marvin also went to him and so did I. He did very good work, and another dentist commented on it when he checked Marvin’s mouth!
I know one can do very good technical work and at the same time be unethical. I believe that was his downfall. Sometimes people get greedy. This is neither the first or last case of a person’s greed, or dishonesty or whatever weakness they succumb to, destroying them. It really is very sad.
That is why I don’t go to the dentist………lol.
